Blackburn Meadows in Sheffield is a biomass-fueled combined heat and power plant that became fully operational in 2015. It uses recycled waste wood sourced from within the UK to generate electrical and thermal energy to power up to 69,000 homes and businesses in the South Yorkshire region. This reduces carbon emissions by up to 65% when compared to natural gas which is vital to our local communities, building a more sustainable future. Carter Group were thrilled to be instructed to undertake the Security upgrade works which consisted of CCTV, Access Control and Perimeter Fence Alarm
