Project overview

Cage Green Primary School joined the Connect Schools Academy Trust in 2019, this is a relatively small primary school from reception to year six of which currently has one class per year. Carter Group were engaged to become the Principle Contractor and undertake the Electrical and Fire Safety Improvements along with associated works. Working closely with the School and appointed third party consultant, Carter Group successfully completed the works with minimal disruption working outside of school hours.

Experience

Carter Group provided the full design package, managed and supervised the site set-up in compliance with CDM regulations, oversee the installation of all scope of works and testing procedures to British Standards. Our team, lead by our appointed Project Manager, followed a tight program of works which was completed during evening and weekend shifts whilst managing COVID-19 restrictions and control measures to keep everyone safe. Regular onsite inspections were carried out throughout the project and progress reports provided to the client to ensure that the works progress continued to meet the customer requirements and allowed for good communication and planning to achieve completion deadlines.
