Environment Policy Statement
At Carter Group, we are committed to protecting the environment, preventing pollution, and minimizing our environmental impact across our Security, Fire, and Electrical installation and maintenance services. We recognise the importance of sustainability and the role we play in addressing climate change.
To achieve this, we will ensure:

Senior management is responsible for ensuring this policy is effectively implemented, integrated in our business strategy, and communicated to all relevant stakeholders. - Compliance
Meet and, where possible, exceed all applicable environmental legislation, regulations, and other relevant requirements. - Continual Improvement
Establish, monitor, and review environmental objectives and targets to drive continuous improvement in our environmental performance. We will measure, evaluate, and report on our progress to ensure ongoing compliance and identify opportunities for further improvement. - Protection of the Environment
Beyond pollution prevention, we are committed to safeguarding biodiversity, promoting sustainable resource use, and reducing our contribution to climate change through responsible sourcing and efficient operations. - Pollution Prevention & Resource Efficiency
Reduce waste, promote recycling, and optimize energy and resource use to minimize our environmental footprint. - Lifecycle Approach
Consider environmental aspects at all stages of our operations, including procurement, installation, maintenance, and disposal of materials and equipment. - Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with employees, clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to promote environmental awareness and best practices. - Training & Awareness
Provide employees with the necessary training and resources to ensure environmentally responsible behavior in their work. Employees are required to ensure that they comply with current environmental standards and ensure the safe handling, discharge, recycling and/or disposal of substances likely to harm the environment. - Sustainable Operations
Improve efficiency in transport, energy use, and equipment operation to reduce emissions and environmental impact. - Emergency Preparedness
Maintain effective procedures to respond to environmental incidents and minimize potential harm.
Specific Areas of Focus
We will ensure best environmental practices in:
- The control and responsible use of all substances that may be hazardous to the environment.
- Energy conservation in buildings and facilities.
- The use and control of plant, vehicles and equipment in all activities.
- The prevention of unnecessary waste, efficient waste management, and recycling of materials.
- The effective operation of emergency call-out procedures to mitigate environmental risks.
This policy is reviewed regularly to ensure it remains relevant, effective and aligned with our environmental commitments.
